Welcome to week #19 of the Steel Orca Songs of the Week.

Happy Friday! I’m on my annual “boys’ trip” ski vacation in Revelstoke (see the picture above), so this post will be abbreviated. We’ll be back to the regular format and length next week.

Every year my friends and I get a weekend away from our families (thank you to our wives for accommodating us), and we do a four-day ski/snowboard trip - one day at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, then three days at Revelstoke Mountain Resort. Given how little most of us ski or snowboard the rest of the year, this trip physically takes a lot out of us, as you can probably imagine.

Anyway, all of that to say, I’m writing this while I’m on the trip right now, and as such, I’ll be skipping over some of the song details in the interest of brevity. Apologies to the artists I’m skipping over this week - I’ll make it up to you.

Playlist Breakdown

Here are the songs for the week of January 27, 2023 🏂.

Just kidding - there is no playlist for this week (sorry).

I drove out to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort on Wednesday morning with four of my buddies this week, and I previewed the playlist with them and asked them which song was their favourite. It was evenly split between Summer’s Young and All I Need, but upon further listening, I made an executive decision and went with Forester’s All I Need as the Song of the Week this week.
